in our instillation for the asian hospitality group aqua, special projekt were asked to evaluate the design variables required to drive awareness via their current street level access and create a powerful brand building experience.
we designed an underwater environment to mimic a crashing wave. using thousands of suspended ankh symbols and a full surround etched mirror environment we flooded the room with endless reflected water based visuals creating an ephemeral space.

special projekt were commissioned to create a brand stand for the ‘dorchester collection’ integrating visual collateral from across the collection including typography, logos, imagery and other brand signifiers.
the challenge was to find a medium in which we could define all the hotels in a single space while delivering a show stopping impression of the brand - our concept was defined and informed by the experience of the guest, highlighting the endless ‘emotional touch points’ to create a 1000 image spectacular panorama of visual reflection.

Result
for the opening of the global flagship for swarovski crystallized we were asked to design and install a ground breaking installation in crystal using the theme metamorphosis.
we used hundreds of thousands of hand applied crystals to create balls of rotating metamorphic human and insect eyes hung from the ceiling. we suspended a swarm of 1000 crystal insects which swarmed around the eyes to deliver a constantly evolving visual representation of the theme. layered into the space an audio track of insect sounds produced a haunting atmosphere.

our brief: to design a unique retail environment within the iconic london store.
key to the realisation was an in-depth strategic phase to discover the inherent proposition which reinforced the well-established relationship between the brands.
we devised triple moulded vitrines inset in huge graphic screens which perfectly merge the ‘choriambe’ fabric design of diptyque founder, christiane montarde-gaurot and the signature ‘needingworth’ fabric design from liberty london. fabric and wallpaper motifs are a central theme in the design with additional features including inlayed wood, bespoke moldings, acid etched brass, turned tables, beautiful bespoke shelving, custom made chandeliers and recycled classic furniture.
subsequent press and consumer reaction to the space has been overwhelmingly positive and the sales impact was marked and immediate.

in order to build brand awareness and equity in a new market, special projekt were approached to create a one off pop-up shop for swarovski.
our concept was a space which captured the beauty of crystal and delivered it to the public in an interactive way. we built a 24 hour gift wrapping shop in mirror with giant acrylic snowflake chandeliers and a three meter crystal light box table. using bespoke wrapping paper, unique gift cards and a team of expert japanese gift wrappers we provided a complimentary wrapping service to the pubic in this one day event.

the nordic investment bank approached special projekt to design and produce an event fitting of their 20th anniversary.
using the oxo tower as a famous london landmark we transformed the space to create a seamless party venue for 300. installing a massive audio and sound rig we were able to deliver a dual feed live action production throughout the fractured space. multiple live acts, a digital showreel and an event movie were integral to our event production.

one of our private clients commissioned us to design a black and gold event to celebrate a personal milestone.
we discovered a disused industrial gem in the heart of london’s east-end and transformed it into a fabulous black and gold party space. we anchored the huge space via the use of three lighting installations, and decorated it with sleek black and gold furniture and incredible flowers from c.america
to create a super chic party interior.
the client raved and called it ‘the best party ever’ with special mention of the exceptional global cuisine and entertainment.

‘cleaver functionality - stunning excitement’
create a highly original, slick and polished presentation event for the new mini scooter collection. working within the positioning of the brand to incorporate key heritage aspects throughout the presentation and ensure the core sustainable hallmarks of the brand are demonstrated throughout.
we harnessed the worlds foremost digital and lighting technology to illustrate the three mini scooter segments through light, while at the same time delivering awe inspiring installations for each of the segments. three dimensional, fractured shafts of light convey perfectly timed and choreographed brand moments throughout the event, developing and communicating the core positioning of the brand during this landmark initiative.

design and produce a landmark in-store event to launch the re-designed flagship store on oxford circus. key considerations were: entertainment, pre-promotion, in-store activities, photographic legacy.
our proposal included four key experiential platforms for the launch; pre-promotion with live models on the street engaging and informing. in-store experiential with live styling and make overs. photographic studio set-up with live action photo-shoot and onsite print production. hospitality and entertainment throughout.
event was a huge success with 200 guests models and makeovers, live action feed to facebook and on-line, great blog coverage and a significant sales boost and footfall in-store.

for the first guess mens watch launch in the u.k we were commissioned to design a space in which to present four segments of the range to the london jewellery press.
taking inspiration from the four watch styles: urban casual, modern vintage, euro sport and authentic guess, we transformed the venue into a slick, stylish and atmospheric space befitting of the launch collection and the high profile guest list.

we took direct inspiration from the gc brand and the refreshed positioning ‘smart luxury’. our design focused on the photographic elements by using the space to define the viewer experience, creating a visual and emotive narrative as the guests moved through the space.

to capitalise on valuable xmas trade and generate pr exposure we proposed to johnnie walker a bespoke xmas 2010 gifting solution.
the box; made of gold mirror and lined with blue satin is surround etched with the j.w. icon and label to create a johnnie walker step and repeat. a one-off, limited edition, luxury gift for for that special someone.

benetton are currently running a global ‘it’s your time’ campaign, working within the launch of their new store we gave 200 customers the opportunity to experience the buzz of a live photo shoot to.
we set up an on-site studio with make up and styling and printed and emailed images direct to the models then followed up with a live link to the benetton facebook page.
